With new U.S. tariffs in effect, the government of Prince Edward Island is committed to supporting Island businesses through these challenges. Our focus is ensuring businesses have the resources and tools needed to navigate these changes and remain competitive.

The Prince Edward Island Tariff Impact Relief Fund is designed to help Island businesses respond to the impacts of U.S. tariffs, Canadian counter tariffs and related trade disruptions. The Fund supports projects that strengthen business competitiveness, improve resilience, and help companies adapt to changing market conditions.

A financing program has been developed to provide working capital financing to assist Prince Edward Island businesses impacted by the new export tariffs implemented by the United States of America (the “Tariffs”), ensuring they can maintain operations, preserve jobs, and invest in alternative supply chain strategies. This new loan program will assist qualifying companies to maintain normal business operations during these unprecedented times.

An up-to-date trade calendar is available online, featuring planned missions across Canada, Europe, the Indo-Pacific region, and the Mexico/Caribbean region. Future missions will be guided by client feedback and market research.
