Film Industry Support

The  Prince Edward Island Film Production Fund supports the development and growth of the private-sector film, television and video industries. Applications must be submitted prior to the beginning of production.

Anne of Green Gables Licensing Authority Inc.

The Anne Authority is jointly owned by the Province of Prince Edward Island, Ruth Macdonald, and David Macdonald, who are the heirs of L.M. Montgomery. The Anne Authority was established to protect the integrity of the images of Anne, to preserve and enhance the legacy of L.M. Montgomery and her literary works, and to control the use of Anne of Green Gables and related trademarks and official marks, including Green Gables House (“Anne” trademarks). “Images of Anne” means words and images depicting the fictional characters, places, and events described in Montgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables and related novels.

    Small Business Assistance

    To encourage the creation and viability of small businesses in Prince Edward Island, Small Business Assistance supports activities that increase productivity and competitiveness. The program supports eligible costs related to internal planning and processes.  A new business is eligible for support for marketing and promotion activities. Learn more. 

    Small Business Investment Grant

    The Small Business Investment Grant helps Prince Edward Island’s small businesses improve efficiency and innovation by way of a non-repayable financial contribution toward the purchase of eligible capital asset cost. Learn more. 

    Marketing Support Assistance

    Marketing Assistance helps Prince Edward Island businesses with marketing costs to execute exporting plans and activities. The fund enables businesses to accelerate sales and increase their market reach. Learn more.

    Web Presence Assistance

    Web Presence Assistance provides a non-repayable contribution to Prince Edward Island businesses and local not-for-profits to assist with the creation of an online presence or to upgrade an existing website to include e-commerce. The purpose of Web Presence Assistance is to help Island businesses and not-for-profits increase business by creating a website to establish an online presence, reach customers and increase sales.
