Workshop on the Use of Artificial Intelligence
We’re constantly told that we need to use artificial intelligence tools or we risk falling behind the competition. However, there are so many tools and so much advice coming from all sides that it’s hard to know where to turn.
To help business owners better understand this issue and use these tools effectively and responsibly, the Wellington Rural Action Center, supported by the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, is organizing two interactive webinars, each lasting 60 minutes, on Monday, October 19, and Wednesday, October 21, starting at 9 a.m. each morning. The theme will be “Optimizing the Use of Artificial Intelligence Applications.”
These two free workshops will be offered during Small and Medium-Sized Business Week; the second is part of the Island Chambers of Commerce’s provincial “Webinar Wednesday” campaign.
Jacinthe Lemire, a consultant in community development and project management, and Daryl Loader, a consultant in artificial intelligence architecture and the ethical adoption of AI, will lead these webinars.
“This intermediate-level training is designed for staff at community organizations and businesses who already use, at least occasionally, applications such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or Claude, and who wish to deepen their knowledge, discover new tools, and better integrate them into their professional activities,” explains Ms. Lemire.
Mr. Loader adds that “The overall goal of these sessions is to enable participants to discover, compare, and make better use of various artificial intelligence applications to support writing, research, document analysis, content creation, automation, and the development of small digital tools.”
A reference document will be provided to participants. It will include a comparison table of the main tools, query templates, a list of recommended applications, usage examples, and tips for responsible use.
