Meet Shane! Innovation PEI’s Director of Business Development and Innovation!

Shane is the guiding force behind the Business Development division. As Director, he oversees the team of officers and the supports and services offered to Island-based businesses.

One of his favourite things about his job is seeing the success and growth of a business and the entrepreneurs behind it first-hand. He also goes on to say that there are often many struggles and challenges, but when things work out, it is a very satisfying feeling.

Shane lives in Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. In the summer, he likes to spend time on the water, boating and travelling around the Island finding new places he’s not yet discovered.

As an action-oriented person, some of the best advice he ever received was to step back once in a while, assess the bigger picture, and ask himself, “Is this the best use of my time right now?” He has carried this advice with him and continues to practice this regularly.

Shane has been with Innovation PEI for 8 years and his kind-hearted good nature is definitely appreciated in our offices and in the Island business community.
