Seoul Food & Hotel 2021
Jul 27 – Jul 30 all day

Seoul Food & Hotel (SFH) is the largest international food and hospitality show in South Korea and the annual meeting place for industry professionals to source new products, make note of the latest trends, and to meet business partners from all over the world.

This year’s SFH is in-person to be hosted on July 27-30 with virtual B2B platform showcases exhibitors’ products for one year to over half a million registered buyers.

At this time the Canadian Pavilion has recruited some companies who will be exhibiting within their own booth space using their own in-market staff. We realize that some companies many not have in-market representation established or may not want to use hired help to staff a booth. To address those companies’ needs, Canadian Federal Government is offering the opportunity to participate in the Canada Product Showcase.

The Canada Product Showcase space is available to companies who have already accessed or have had a long-term interest in the South Korean market (it should not be used as an exploratory option) and wish to display their products on site. In-market staff hired by Agriculture Canada will greet visitors, point them to the product showcases, and collect leads within the space.

The price to participate of $300 CAD per company will include the following:
– One (1) lighted glass showcase to display product packaging
– One (1) unique QR code linked to the show’s virtual B2B platform landing page (code to be displayed on the glass showcase)
– A one-year subscription to the show’s virtual B2B platform offering access to more than 500,000 registered buyers
– Access to pre-show buyer meetings organized virtually by Embassy staff
– Company logo displayed on the Pavilion Logo Wall
Please note there will be no sampling in the space as the space will be focused on displaying Canadian products.

Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global @ Fira Barcelona Gran Via Venue
Sep 7 – Sep 9 all day

The world’s largest seafood exposition is moving to Barcelona, Spain, starting with the 2021 edition.

The 29th edition of Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global will take place on 27-29 April 2021 at Fira Barcelona, Gran Via venue, in Barcelona.

Every year, Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, continues to break records in terms of total attendance and exhibit space. The last edition, in 2019, hosted more than 29,000 seafood buyers and suppliers from around the globe with over 2,000 exhibiting companies, making it the largest and most successful event in the expo’s history.

The decision is the result of extensive market research based on exhibitor and attendee feedback over the years and an evaluation of major destinations throughout Europe. Barcelona’s robust hotel offering will provide attendees and exhibitors considerable value for their investment and a larger, modern venue will present long-term growth opportunities.

Fira Barcelona hosts around 150 events annually bringing in-depth expertise servicing global trade events. Fira’s state-of-the-art Gran Via venue is one of the largest in Europe, with over 200,000 square meters of floor space, 8 exhibit halls, more than 40 restaurants and is easily accessible by car, train and plane.

Expo 2020 Dubai – October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022 @ Dubai, UAE

Connecting Minds, Creating the Future

Our once-in-a-lifetime celebration – the largest event ever staged in the Arab world – is set to welcome 190 participating countries, and millions of visitors from across the globe. Here they will experience warm Emirati hospitality at its finest, as well as the UAE’s values of inclusion, tolerance and cooperation. Youth are at the heart of our World Expo. That’s why Expo 2020 aspires to create a meaningful legacy that will benefit generations to come, both locally and globally, spanning everything from innovations and architecture to friendships and business opportunities.

No one could have predicted that our world would come to a pause because of a virus, that millions of lives would be forever changed, that economies would be severely impacted, and social interactions would take a completely different form.

Our journey has taken a different turn, and Expo 2020 will now run one year later than expected, from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. But this has only strengthened the significance of our founding promise – to connect minds and create the future.

Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Director General and Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, said:
“At Expo we know we need to deliver better than what was planned before. We have the chance to respond to how our world has changed. And so we must seek new definitions of success. We must create an opportunity for the world to come together, not just physically but also virtually. We must achieve tangible positive outcomes. We must inform wisely and inspire utterly, a world that deserves better than it has today.”

We continue to make strong progress as we prepare for a new Expo that will reunite the world in 2021, with far-reaching precautionary measures allowing us to keep all event preparations on track while ensuring the health, safety and well being of everyone working throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

We are excited too about the deeper impact that our new World Expo will have on shaping a better post-pandemic world, as we bring the world together to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges.

Now, more than ever, we stand as one. At Expo 2020, we look forward to harnessing that power of collaboration and innovation, helping us emerge from this crisis stronger than ever.

73rd Frankfurter Buchmesse. United @ Virtual Event
Oct 20 – Oct 24 all day

“In 2021, Frankfurter Buchmesse will again be an important meeting place – for the book industry, for authors and readers,” emphasized Juergen Boos, director of Frankfurter Buchmesse. “The industry needs exchange and visibility more than ever.

In recent months we’ve held in-depth discussions with our customers and created a plan tailored to the needs of our exhibitors. With our updated conditions for participating in the fair, and our generous cancellation policy and flexible programme, we want to make it easy for our exhibitors in Germany and around the world to decide in favour of coming to Frankfurt. As always, protecting the health of our exhibitors and visitors has top priority. Our planning processes are therefore flexible, allowing us to quickly adapt to changing requirements.”

The 73rd Frankfurter Buchmesse is being supported by funds from the German government’s NEUSTART KULTUR programme. This assistance is being passed along to exhibitors, which means they will benefit from significantly lower fees for exhibition stands.

We look forward to seeing you from 20 to 24 October 2021 with Guest of Honour Canada.

UN CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE UK 2021 – In Partnership with Italy @ The Scottish Event Campus (SEC)

The climate talks will be the biggest international summit the UK has ever hosted; bringing together over 30,000 delegates including heads of state, climate experts and campaigners to agree coordinated action to tackle climate change. The challenge is not insignificant, but we must step up to it to save the environment we all live in. The UN Climate Change process is central to that collective action.
