The Canadian International Seafood Show has the distinction of being Canada’s first seafood show. This edition which takes place in Montreal will show off Canada’s seafood industry to the world. The International component provides an opportunity for Canadian buyers to meet with suppliers from visiting countries and discover new products and new flavors. Technology will be showcase with a section reserved for packaging, weighing and processing equipment etc. Informative conferences will be offered on subjects including sustainable fisheries, new trade agreements with Europe, Canadian import standards and more. The Conxemar trade show takes place in Vigo, Spain, an important fishing port in Europe, and serves as the meeting point for the entire processing branch, distributors, importers and exporters of frozen seafood products. Since its inauguration in 1999, it has grown steadily in visitors and exhibitors, with an exhibition area of 31,500 m². It is the most important Fish and Seafood trade show in Southern Europe, with significant international presence and dozens of national pavilions.

Design Thinking Bootcamp
Having a strong understanding of design thinking processes and principles can be a game-changer for collaborative teams working to enhance or diversify product offerings. Companies such as Apple, Coca Cola, and Walt Disney, for example, all practice design thinking and see 10-year returns yielding 2.19 times that of the 500.
In this Design Thinking Bootcamp at Startup Zone, led by Christine Hamblin (BCA, BSc, MTEI), Atlantic Innovation Lead at Accenture, you will discover and apply the five phases of the design thinking process empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test – to your organization’s challenges or pain points. Through various hands-on activities and lessons, this design thinking bootcamp will force you to challenge your assumptions, redefine the problem your company is facing, and help you gain a real understanding of your users. From there, you will be able to iterate on or create a better, more effective solution for your business.
To make the most of this bootcamp – which runs as two half-day sessions from 9am to 12pm – come prepared with a pain point or problem your company is experiencing (or we will identify one) to tackle together. Following this bootcamp, you will become the champion of Design Thinking within your organization, leading the charge when it comes to framing and solving problems creatively, and shaking up your organization’s product offerings.
This workshop will be held at Startup Zone. Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided.
