The Agri-food team of the Trade Commissioner Service in Manila is pleased to announce that they intend to participate in the first virtual food trade show in the Philippines, World Food Expo (WOFEX) Spring, from March 20-29, 2021. For close to 20 years, World Food Expo (WOFEX) has become one of the highly anticipated annual food trade shows in the Philippines. Their annual show attracts over 40,000 visitors, aside from a vast network of stakeholders in the Philippine agri-food value chain, including food processing companies, the food service industry and retail establishments (i.e. supermarkets, groceries, specialty stores) that attend the show to develop and strengthen business relationships, as well as identify new sources of food ingredients and brands to offer to the growing consumer market in the Philippines.
As one of the exhibitors, the Trade Commissioner team will have a dedicated virtual exhibition booth to promote Canadian agri-food products. As each booth only allows one registrant, their team will consolidate business leads and facilitate virtual introductions on the margins of the event or after the event. To help maximize the opportunity to promote Canadian agri-food stakeholders, they will develop an e-catalogue of Canadian food suppliers that virtual trade show visitors can browse as they visit our virtual booth. Likewise, this e-catalogue will be shared with the network of local agri-food industry contacts that their team has built over the years, and will serve as an e-brochure for their team to readily share with new industry contacts they will meet in the coming business year.
