Innovation PEI, in partnership with ACOA and the other Atlantic Provinces, is currently seeking export-ready PEI building products and services companies who are interested in participating as an exhibitor at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Orlando, Florida on February 8-10, 2022. This trade mission will feature an Atlantic exhibit pavilion and include B2B networking and support from Global Affairs Canada.
Why IBS? The United States continues to experience sustained growth in the building sector in most regions of the country. With the added benefit of the favourable prevailing exchange rate, the USA remains an important market for Atlantic Canadian building products and services companies.
The International Builders’ Show is the United States’ premier annual residential and commercial housing construction event for manufacturers and suppliers of home construction products and services. In 2020, the IBS celebrated its 75th anniversary with the largest show in 10 years, selling out booth space and attracting more than 115,000 attendees from more than 100 countries.
In 2020, eight Atlantic Canadian companies generated more than 325 leads and anticipated $3.65 million in sales in 12 months. The companies reported a 91% satisfaction rate with the Atlantic Pavilion, and attendee traffic rated satisfaction at 92.5%. IBS 2019 featured more than 1,500 manufacturers and suppliers who exhibited the industry’s latest innovations in construction products and services. In attendance were national builders, small local builders, custom home builders, architects and designers, distributors, re-modellers and other purchasers from the United States and beyond.
Trade Mission Benefits: The Atlantic pavilion will be located in prime booth space in the IBS West Hall (the main hall) next to other Canadian provincial pavilions. The pavilion will be 1,200 square feet measuring 20 feet long by 60 feet wide. Its traditional row-style layout will include 10-foot by 10-foot pipe and drape booths for individual exhibitors
