BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

The Business Development division is responsible for the coordination and delivery of information, assistance, and support programs to businesses in Prince Edward Island. The division supports Island businsses in start up, expansion, trade development, and diversification. The division provides a full range of business counseling and programs to support the long term viability of Prince Edward Island companies.

LENDING SERVICES

The Lending Services division sources, manages and supplies financial capital in support of sound, strategic business opportunities while balancing financial risk with the economic return to the Province. As a developmental lender, the group works collaboratively with traditional financial institutions and other government agencies in a non-formula approach using a wide array of financial instruments.

Community Access Program (CAP)

The CAP is a Government of Canada initiative which aims to provide Canadians with affordable public access to the Internet and the skills they need to use it effectively. With the combined efforts of the federal, provincial governments, community groups, social agencies, libraries, schools, volunteer groups and the business community, CAP helps Canadians take advantage of opportunities in the global knowledge-based economy.
