Canada’s Smartest Kitchen 

Canada’s Smartest Kitchen (CSK) provides culinary support services to PEI and the broader Atlantic region’s food industry. Canada’s Smartest Kitchen was created in direct response to a growing and emerging need of small and medium-sized enterprises, food processors and primary producers to assist in the development of more culinary –inspired value added food products destined for retail and food service distribution. 

The Culinary Alliance 

The goal of the Culinary Alliance is to position Prince Edward Island as a premium destination brand in tourism and our key food exports – lobster, potatoes, oysters and mussels. Our mission is to facilitate the development of innovative food industry partnerships, culinary experiences and promotional programs that serve as a channel for:
1.    Increased tourism visitations to Prince Edward Island
2.    Increased consumption of rural PEI food products on-Island, and
3.    Increased export sales of rural PEI food products
PEI Flavours is the overall brand of this initiative which acts as an identifying system for people to easily recognize local food products. PEI Flavours connects growers, producers, processors, chefs, restaurants, tourism operators and other culinary industry stakeholders through a single, united voice.

The Culinary Institute of Canada

The courses offered at The Culinary Institute of Canada have been developed in consultation with leaders of the tourism and hospitality industry throughout Canada, North America and the world. Curriculum is developed in accordance with existing industry standards and is taught by dedicated instructors in industry-related environments. A practical hands-on environment is emphasized throughout the program.

Prince Edward Island Certified Beef 

In 2012, the PEI Culinary Alliance in conjunction with the PEI Cattle Producers and Atlantic Beef Products , developed the Prince Edward Island Certified Beef Brand. This partnership provides and showcases the Island’s unique tradition of raising cattle and gives Island beef a consistent message in the marketplace.
